Road marking or painting: the different paintings.
Parking bays, Road lines, markings of arrows, chevrons, logos and Road signs.
Tools required:
* Tape measure (minimum 5m - 8m)
* Chalk white
* Snap line
* Straight edge
* Nose protect guards
* Paint brushes (different sizes)25mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm thick
* Colour paint (depends on what your requirements are)
* Thinners and cleaning rags
* Broom and dirt remover carton
First step:
Blue print, most time there are pegs in the ground to allocate where the lines should be painted.
A parking bay size is usually 5000mm x 2500mm and the end of the line is 500mm cornered.
Marking out lines,
From the first peg, measure 50mm on either side, this is the width of the line, the next size is 2500mm from peg to peg, the ends are 5000mm long with corners to left and right, depending once again how one wants to end.
First snap your end line, from the starting side, measure 5000mm, then from the other side 5000mm, now snap from the starting side and ending or middle side.
you can now snap the lines where the vehicle will be directed to park.
Mixing of paint,
Your paint should be semi running for smooth painting on ground.
Word of advice: Do not use a thin plastic tin, bottle, the strenght of the thinners base of paint etc, could melt the bottom, which could cause a great mess.
Have alot of rags and thinners, just in-case.
